Can I paint my sensors? . It depends. Painting any sensor will automatically void Manufacturer Warranty and Epic Alarm cannot be responsible for devices not functioning as designed. Care must be taken to not paint over any electronic components. Door/Window ContactsMany of our clients have successfully painted their window and/or door contacts. Those sensors continue to work fine. We advise against any type metallic paint. Motion SensorsThe thin plastic portion at the front of the motion sensor should never be painted. Glass Break Sensors and OthersGlass break sensors and other type of sensors may be painted, but care must be taken so that no openings are blocked or painted over. Heat/Smoke DetectorsHeat/Smoke detectors should never be painted.
